A high download speed does not automatically mean a good gaming connection. Real-time games also depend on latency, stability and packet loss.

The Perfect WiFi Gaming Wi-Fi Test takes about 10 seconds and is available in the free version.

What does it measure?

  1. Ping — response time.
  2. Jitter — variation in latency.
  3. Packet loss — data that does not arrive correctly.

One simple score

Perfect WiFi turns the measurements into a 0–100 score:

  • 80–100: Excellent
  • 60–79: Good
  • 40–59: Average
  • 0–39: Poor

Each metric also receives its own color indicator.

Why test the Internet?

The app can separately measure ping to your router. The gaming test measures the connection to the Internet, because that is where game servers are.

Is the result a real measurement?

Yes. The test performs a real measurement rather than estimating quality from Wi-Fi signal strength and uses a stable public Internet reference point.

It is deliberately an indicative gaming assessment, not a test of a specific game's server.
